Mission

Our mission is to provide evaluations and impact advisory in service of equity.

Values

Empathy - we are intentional about working to understand and share the feelings of our clients.

Continuous Learning - we are committed to doing the work to expand our own skillset and knowledge, and to support our clients in doing so.

Transparency - we value openness, communication, and accountability.

Centering Diversity - we value the diverse lived experiences of our team and partners, and center that in our work.

Race & gender equity - we value the process of being fair despite race or gender. We know that in order to truly value race and gender equity, strategies and measures must be available to account for historical and social disadvantages that have affected those who have been historically disadvantaged from otherwise operating on the same level.

Integrity - We value having a strong moral compass that guides our work.

Mentorship - we value having strong guidance from leadership that support career and personal development.

Our Commitment

Race, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI)

Race Equity Diversity and Inclusion (REDI) principles are an integral part of our processes, products, and policies. Advancing equitable practices and contributing to equitable outcomes are central to who we are as an organization. We live our commitment in how we work with with our partners and the tools we use in our monitoring and evaluation practices. We are attuned to the power imbalances and racial injustices that perpetuate historical inequities in social and economic outcomes.

Culturally Responsive Equitable Evaluation (CREE)

Our evaluations are always grounded in history, context, and culture to generate unbiased data, make meaning of data and information, and produce useful findings and products. We recognize that history, context, and culture shape the world we live in, and that lessons from the past shape our outlook and support the social impact we can have.

Social Responsibility

Our work leads to an increase in social responsibility to ensure that individuals and businesses are accountable for fulfilling their civic duty. Ultimately, our work aims to strike the balance between economic growth and the welfare of society.

Collaborative Partnerships

We take a collaborative, iterative, and responsive approach to our work. Engaging clients as co-creators in our learning and evaluation work often results in a cohesive network of stakeholders that builds collective ownership.

Client-Responsiveness

We understand that needs may change, and a certain level of flexibility is needed as we respond to the changing needs of our clients. We are committed to evolving with our clients to meet their needs and build long-lasting relationships.

Creative Problem Solving

We know that the problems our clients are aiming to solve for are complex, and often take a creative approach. We are passionate and excited about taking a creative approach to solving complex problems in partnerships with our clients.

How we work?

Equity focus

We center race and gender equity in all that we do, and recognize the intersections that our clients operate within. We aim to support our clients in recognizing how they can center equity in the work that they do internally and externally.

Co-creation

We engage our clients as co-creators in the learning and evaluation process to build collective ownership and foster a culture of learning. We do this by emphasizing capacity building and learning by doing with our clients.

Developmental Approach

We use a developmental approach to our work by collecting and analyzing real-time data in ways that lead to informed and ongoing decision making as part of the design, development, and implementation process. We prioritize working in an iterative manner with our clients to ensure we are responsive to their needs.

Mixed Methods Approach

We take a mixed methods approach to evaluations by ensuring we prioritize data and rigor, and also community voice and lived experiences. This mixed methods approach allows us to ensure the work we produce is rigorous and responsive to our client’s needs.
