Position Summary
Sankofa Consulting seeks an early-career Evaluation Officer/Program Officer (EO/PO) to engage in the full range of technical tasks and activities offered to our clients. The EO/PO focuses on supporting strategy, measurement, evaluation and learning activities to assess the implementation and impact of program interventions, including conducting data collection and analysis, developing high-quality deliverables and knowledge products, and collaborating with external partners. In addition, the EO/PO will work as part of Sankofa’s project teams to contribute to proposal development in response to solicitations. The EO/PO will work with staff to manage external communications with clients and partners, ensuring that the discrete tasks and activities of Sankofa’s programs, learnings, and results are broadly shared with relevant stakeholders.

Major Responsibilities
Manage client facing projects, including client relationships, tracking project deliverables, budget oversight, and coordinating project components
Conduct literature and secondary data collection reviews
Contribute to the design of evaluation and research plans
Contribute to the design of qualitative and/or quantitative data collection instruments
Manage and/or engage in data collection efforts
Analyze and synthesize qualitative and/or quantitative data
Contribute to proposal development, including background research, reviews and drafting written responses
Preparing high quality draft and final reports, presentations, and other deliverables
Requirements
Master’s degree or equivalent in public policy, social sciences, public health and/or related areas
At least two years of work experience in research, evaluation and/or management consulting
Experience conducting qualitative analysis with the ability synthesize data and convey findings, familiarity with Dedoose, NVivo or similar software preferred
Familiarity using STATA, SPSS or R for descriptive and inferential analyses
Excellent writing skills to effectively create clear and concise documents
Skilled in presenting data visually
Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills for engaging with diverse audiences
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work on multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Working proficiency in Spanish or second language, preferred

This is an exempt full-time hybrid position based in Seattle. This role may require travel to client and partners sites in the Pacific Northwest.
Salary & Benefits:
The starting salary for this position is $85,000. Benefits also include medical coverage, a 401(k) plan, and generous paid time off.
