Madhumitha Mathivanan

Research Associate Intern

Madhumitha (She/her) is a physician who, following her experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, developed a strong interest in promoting health equity and environmental justice. She initially obtained her medical degree in India and practiced clinical medicine for several years before transitioning to the field of public health. She recently completed her master's degree in public health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Madhumitha is also a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and has conducted research projects in collaboration with Johns Hopkins focusing on healthcare issues affecting transgender and non-binary individuals. During her time at Hopkins, she also served as a coordinator for the LGBTQ+ Public Health Working group.
