Mariam brings over nine years of experience in international development, evaluation, and nonprofit management, with expertise in leading complex evaluation and learning initiatives across global and regional portfolios.At Sankofa, Mariam has served as an evaluator and portfolio manager for the past 4 years, leading international and domestic projects for major philanthropic partners, including the Gates and the Hilton Foundations. Prior to joining Sankofa, Mariam worked in business development and grants management for international NGOs, supporting partnerships with major foundations, several UK-based philanthropic organizations, as well as UN agencies including Unicef. She also worked with the World Food Programme Liaison Office in Addis Ababa on the Cost of Hunger in Africa study. Mariam holds a Master of Public Administration from the Evans School of Public Policy & Governance at the University of Washington, with a focus on international development, and a Master of Science in Business Management from IESEG School of Management (Lille, France)
