Nicholas Shoemaker (He/Him) is an Applied Sociologist with a strong focus on the practical application of both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Currently, he serves as a Research Associate at Sankofa, where he plays a role in the Walton Catalytic Communities Project. Before joining Sankofa Consulting, Nicholas gained valuable experience as a Freelance Sociologist, specializing in conducting focus groups, surveys, and research reports for a wide range of private clients and municipalities. He has demonstrated versatility by working with diverse organizations such as the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the National Science Foundation (NSF). Nicholas' expertise is rooted in his educational background, as he holds a Master's degree in Applied Sociology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Additionally, he has obtained a certificate in the Social Dimensions of Health, further enhancing his ability to provide comprehensive insights into sociological issues.
